Has 8 arms: What is an Octopus

Its called an Octopus car and its great. There is this card that I have here in Hong kong that has made life a whole bunch easier. You can pick one up at any local metro station and for a small 50 HKD($7ish). This card is then used not only for the metro but also all sorts of shops around the city. Buses, 7-11, starbucks, supermarkets and more. This list is quite staggering and its soo easy. Its not even a card that has to be swiped. You simply lay the card on top of the pad and vwalah its done. The small display shows both how much the item/items cost and how much you have left on the card. With layability at the school cafeteria and bookstore this card is a staple of most students' wallets. There is one problem however, you can only fill it up with cash, but thats the price you have to pay for such ease. I have recently applied for the student card which pre-approves you for cheaper prices as a student. How great is that. Anywho, I felt this card was worth a post because in my transition this has been really helpful in making purchasing sooo much less stressful. I hope there is one of these in the states by the time I get back... so get started.
