School is continuing to move along quite well, all of my classes are in order and I've got my bearings around school. Since that is all good I have had some extra time to tour around a bit which has been really really nice. One of the most talked about destinations in Hong Kong, and the world for that matter, is Victoria Peak. This is an area overlooking the financial district in HK, Central, and has some of the most breathtaking views ever. It also is home to what was the most expensive real estate in the world, ponder that one. Anywho, we spent the morning walking around the city a bit and then we took a cable car ride up to the peak, some 350 odd meters up. Now I haven't been on to many cable car rides, call them trams if you want to, but most of them travel up and down large distances at a steep angle but provide compensation for the seating. Well in this tram not only were we packed in so tight that we had to stand but the tram looked like an ordinary trolley going up this steep incline. I was barely able to hold on as we were going up. Lets just say the metropolis at the top was a sight for sore eyes. As with everything the exit was through a gift shop, but that didn't phase me, I wanted to see the sights. After finding out that the rooftop terrace cost money we found a few other wonderful vantage points to view the skyline from. We arrived at the peak, as they call it, just before sunset so we could see the skyline in both daylight and after dark. The sights were amazing and becca captured some beautiful scenes, Thank the big man I have her here.

After a bit of searching we managed to get a wonderful seat at a table in Bubba Gumps to watch the nightly light show,I will update you on this soon. It was great such a good view and a bit of Americanized food, truly an enjoyable day and as a bonus we got to keep the glasses from the restaurant. And then the bus ride down. Boy was it crazy. You wouldn't believe the roads these buses drive on. They curve so much with such steep slopes all the way around the island it is amazing their maneuverability. We made it down to the MTR and we were back to campus in minutes. Beautiful!!
Wow what a view and just think a Bubba Gumps there also. Can't tell which sounded like more fun the cable ride or the bus ride. Either way it must have been a great adventure.
